ACTivate Psychology offers comprehensive assessments that require about six to eight weeks to complete. All testing is completed by a registered psychologist to ensure top quality.

The information gathered during assessment can be used to identify what you or your child needs to help them thrive. While I prefer to think of and explain, diverse learning as ‘differences’ rather than ‘disorders’, information gathered during the assessment may lead to diagnoses. Diagnoses may include specific learning disorders, ADHD, anxiety or depressive disorders, and pervasive developmental disorders. Unfortunately, diagnoses, if applicable, are needed to help individuals access support and services at school and in their community. Regardless of diagnoses, we strongly support viewing differences from a neurodiversity-affirming approach, which values and respects the dignity and worth of every individual, regardless of our learning or cognitive differences.
